Hello,
Thanks for asking.
Getting a Government Job after the age of 35 is a little difficult because the age limit in most of exams is less than 30 years (Bank PO, SSC CGL, Railway Exams etc.)
If you belong to the reserved category then you can check the age relaxation & apply for the exam.
Well you can also qualify the exam for Lectureship, by preparing for the CSIR NET Exam.
CSIR NET Exam is the national level eligibility test for Science students to become Research Fellow or Assistant Professor. But the age limit for Research Fellow is 28 years.
So, you are eligible for Lectureship. You can get a job in Government colleges & universities

A microbiologist can get jobs in many places like R&D laboratories of government and private hospitals, research organizations, Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industries.
After doing M.Sc. Microbiology, one can join R&D department of any good Biotech company.
You can also join research programmes after clearing UGC or CSIR NET exam & further go for PhD.

You can pursue M.Tech from any of the IITs, BITs, etc. You can appear for NET, UPSC, B.Ed, research or Ph.D.
