Both, MGSU Bikaner and Nirwan University offer MSc courses across 8 specialisations. However, most of the specialisations offered in both the universities vary from each other. While MGSU Bikaner offers MSc in Computer Science, Environmental Science, Cyber Security, and others. Nirwan University offers M.Sc in Physics, Mathematics, Agriculture, among others. Students can choose the institute depending on their desired courses, fees, and other criteria.

MGSU Bikaner campus is spread across 1100 acres of land, and is located in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Maharaja Ganga Singh University provides hostel facilities for both, boys and girls. The campus is equipped with CCTV cameras to provide a safe and secure surrounding. The girls hostel is called 'Gargi Mahila Chhatrawas'. The hostels are equipped with basic amenities like mess, water purifiers, electricity, etc. and monitored by wardens to ensure safety and discipline. Rental and paying guest facilities are also available in the vicinity of the campus. 

Maharaja Ganga Singh University offers scholarships to encourage meritorious students and academic excellence. It also offers scholarships to students belonging to the reserved category as per the government guidelines. Scholarships offered at MGSU Bikaner are:

• Post-matric Scholarship is a centrally sponsored scheme, implemented by State Government. It provides financial assistance to students belonging to ST, SC, OBC/SEBC/EBC, pursuing higher education at post-secondary stage.

Step 4: Check the dates & eligibility criteria of the desired scholarship.

Step 5: Apply when the applications are open, with all the required documents.

Maharaja Ganga Singh University Rajasthan placement reports for the years, 2024 and 2023 have not been released yet. However, as per the AQAR report, the the highest package offered during MGSU Bikaner placements 2022 was INR 5.71 LPA. A total of 23 students were placed and the highest number of students were placed from MSc Computer Science. The top recruiters during the 2022 placement drive were, Govt AYUSH Wellness Center, Dunes Milk Processing Pvt. Ltd., ASKIN Softech, among others.

Ganga University Bikaner has an active placement cell that provides placement assistance to the interested students who wish to seek jobs in their respective sectors. The 2024 placement reports of Odisha Open University for MSc have not been released yet. However, as per the AQAR report, the the highest package offered during MGSU Bikaner placements 2022 was INR 5.71 LPA. A total of 23 students were placed and the highest number of students were placed from MSc Computer Science. The students can check the 2024 statistics once the reports are released.
