Admissions to the Department of Law, MDU for different courses is both merit and entrance-based. Admission for most of the courses is based on the marks obtained in MDU Common Entrance Exam (MDUCEE).

The fee is INR 2.80 lakh. It is inclusive of the components of a one-time admission fee and tuition fee for all four semesters. Further, it must be noted that this fee is as per the past years' record and hence can vary for this admission session. The application fee for boys is INR 1,000 and INR 800 for girls (general/gen-EWS/OBC (NCL) category). For any query related to fee payment, candidates can reach out to the MDU admission office.

Yes, MDU offers various UG and PG distance learning courses through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). All the offered courses by CDOE are UGC-approved. The available distance courses are BA, BCom, BLibISc, MA, MSc, MCom, and M.LI.Sc. The university also offers online courses, including Master of Science (Mathematics) and Master of Commerce. The University offers a two-year MSc course in 12 specialisations. The eligibility criteria and fees for each MSc specialisation vary. The specialisations in which the PG course is offered are Botany, Food Technology, Genetics, Mathematics, Zoology, Microbial Biotechnology, Forensic Science, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, Medicine, Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Bioinformatics.

The University has not released the highest package details for Law courses. However, the median package is released. For LLB and BA LLB courses the median package 2022 stood at INR 50,000 per annum. Further, the median package offered to the LLM batch was INR 8.20 LPA. Tabulated below is the Department of Law MDU placement package 2022 for UG and PG Law courses:
