No, the candidates themselves cannot apply directly for admission to the BSc course at Maitreyi College. Admission is done through CUET scores, which are binding on all candidates. Candidates seeking admission to these programmes have to register for the entrance examination and also appear for the same. Then, participation in the CSAS counselling process is a must. This admission based on merit and CUET scores for the selection of students in a non-discriminatory manner. However, as per CUET Cutoff 2023, the closing cut-off score of the last round for admission into BA Programme includes History, Political Science, and the cutoff score is 97 for General-All India. This is in the backdrop of cut-offs for CUET-2023, where the combination of subjects has been quite competitive with uniform cutoff scores running at 97 for a set of BA programs: BA (History, Political Science), BA (Political Science, Sociology), BA (Political Science, Hindi), BA (Political Science, Punjabi), and BA (Political Science, Sanskrit).

The application fee for the BA course at Maitreyi College varies for different categories of candidates. The CSAS application fee for the general category student is INR 250, while for SC/ST/PwBD candidates, this is INR 100.
