Getting Parental Approval-
If you are under 18, you need parental approval before signing with an agency.
Obtaining Photographs-
Professional photographs are essential for beginning a career as a teen model. Look for professional photographers who specialize in headshots or fashion editorial.
Creating a Portfolio-
Despite its fancy name, a modeling portfolio is just a bound book with plastic sleeve pages for displaying photographs. Insert several of the best photos from the photo shoot into the portfolio. If you are uncertain about a picture, don't include it.
Composition Cards-
Known as "comp cards" or "zed cards," composition cards are printed on 8 1/2 in. by 5 1/2 in. cardstock and include both your photos and your vital statistics such as name, height, weight and age and hair color.
Finding an Agent-
Contact modeling agencies in your area. Many agencies hold "open call" days when prospective models meet with scouts and present their composition cards and portfolios.
Signing a Contract-
Sign a contract with an established, reputable agency. Before signing, read the contract carefully with your parents or guardian and ask questions about anything that's unclear.
Considerations-
The modeling industry can offer great opportunities for money and travel, but it is not without risks. Illegitimate agencies or photographers, pressure to maintain a certain look or weight, and access to alcohol or drugs are some of the challenges teen models may run into.

You need to appear for an entrance test for mass communication and your admission will be on the basis of your board result and entrance test scores. You can get into Xavier's even if you have an average board result and do well in the entrance test. Those from the last batch who are not pursuing any PG courses and those who have completed there PG courses, most of them are working in the television, advertising & film industries (viz, NDTV, CNN-IBN, AAJTAK, ZEE Network, STAR Network, SONY Entertainment; Percept, JWT, O&M etc. ). Either as trainees/assistants or as full-time journalists, programme producers, production executives, technical experts, independent filmmakers etc.

Candidate must be a graduate from a recognised university. Candidates appearing in final year can apply on provisional basis. Interested candidates can apply online with the required information.
