Event Management industry is experiencing growth, particularly in India, with a projected market size of $7.80 billion by 2029. This means more companies are hiring event managers, but the competition for those positions is very high. Moreover, many recruiters prioritise practical experience and skills over a specific degree, which is also making it convinient for graduates to not only focus on gaining degrees but skills.

First you need to complete your education where a degree or diploma in event management, hospitality, or a related field can be beneficial. Apart from this, gaining experience through internships is a great way to build your portfolio and network.
You can also consider certifications or advanced courses to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Yes, international students pursuing their higher studies from an US-based institution can go on to attain permanent residency (PR), also called a green card, in the United States.
To obtain a green card, students studying on an F1 visa (student visa), have to apply for an OPT or STEM OPT Extension followed by an H1B visa (post-study employment visa), for which they must attain a job offer from a recognised organisation in the United States.
H-1 B Visa holders are then eligible to apply for the Green Card.
Check out: F1 Student Visa to USA Green Card, for a more detailed description of the same.
