Science or Commerce Streams are also acceptable if you maintain strong communication skills and an interest in media. Many mass communication colleges accept students from all streams. You can choose any subject in class 11th to pursue a career in mass communication.

Yes, IELTS is required for Canada Permanent Residency (PR), if you are applying through Express entry or PNP. However, IELTS is not the only exam for this.  TCF Canada, PTE Core, and CELPIP general are some good alternatives of IELTS exam for Canadian PR.
