I just wanted to say that Both can be equally enriching from a learning perspective but I suggest a degree if you are so much keen to expand your media life and planning to build a career as serious media person. A degree is always ahead when compared and always better then Diploma in any field a degree opens opportunities not only in the same field but also in other fields and most importantly degree is more useful then Diploma if you want to do further studies also. As you know Bachelors in mass communication is 3 years course and if you want to do Bachelors from Makhan Lal Chaturvedi it will cost 89.27k annual fees and for 3 years it will cost 267.81L.

At first congrats to you for getting excellent marks in your 12th. AND yes, off course you can apply for bachelor in media course in Times school of Media;AAFT;IIMC;JMI etc.
