You will have to pursue Masters in mass communication to become a journalist. The best institute to get into is IIMC, appear for entrance tests, clear it successfully and pursue one year PG course.

Initially start from learning the basic things from youtube. Once you get an idea from the videos you can then enrol yourself for online courses from coursera or Edx.

For pursuing journalism, your entrance tests are taken into consideration. All it requires is 60% marks in 12th and marks or ranks based on entrance tests.
