You will have to pursue Masters in mass communication to become a journalist. The best institute to get into is IIMC, appear for entrance tests, clear it successfully and pursue one year PG course.

You can opt for any stream you wish to, as to get into mass communication or travelling all you need is a 12th passing certificate. Thank you.

Initially start from learning the basic things from youtube. Once you get an idea from the videos you can then enrol yourself for online courses from coursera or Edx.

Journalism is tilted towards news reporting be it for newspapers, magazines or television, while mass communication is a broader field encompassing films, online media, documentary, television, radio, graphics, events, advertising, corporate communications.
