Journalism and mass communication is a course which gives knowledge about important skills like reporting, editing, anchoring, video shooting, using drones, mixing and editing, layout, publishing, public relations, media laws, et al. Having said that it is really important for you to carefully select a college that would provide you these skills as there are plenty of colleges out there that provide journalism course but they only focus on theory. You really need to prefer a college that would give you more and more practical knowledge, for it is a completely practical course.
I have studied from PCTE Group of Institutes, and I often saw journalism students covering campus events with drones, gimble, and other sophisticated gadgets. Also visited this sound proof studio one day with a friend where students were making cool videos where they were mixing and editing on computers using software and equipment. I have also seen several videos which were shared in our WhatsApp groups, which were shot and made by Journalism deptt. students. I got really amazed to SEE how creatively they were made.
