Yes, you are. It depends on which course you are applying for.
BIMTECH offers 4 courses-
For admission to PGDM & PGDM (IB), an applicant must have a valid CAT (score card of CAT 2018) or valid XAT 2019 score or valid GMAT 2018-19 score.
For admission to PGDM (RM) & PGDM (IBM) an applicant must have valid CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score.

Hi Shahzar, IMI Kolkata accepts CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores. MAT scores are not considered. All the best!

It is indeed great to hear from you that you are interested in doing MBA after completion of the graduation in civil engineering. There are many specializations that you can choose from. Which College are you talking about? You haven't mentioned the name. Please mention which college's procedure you want to know. There are many college accepting MAT score but the cut off varies.

Well, 49% is not something which is acceptable by most B schools because 50% is the minimum criteria for admission in a good B school. Moreover, even if you appear for MAT and get a so-so college, it wouldn't be a good option because competition is huge and no companies prefer students with less marks. You will face peer pressure. Anyway, I don't want to demotivate you, I know many Universities don't give enough marks. But give it a shot else figure out something better.

I will recommend you JIMS-Rohini, sector 5, as it is approved by AICTE AIU and accredited by NAAC and NBA. It means, it's PGDM degree is equivalent to MBA degree, so you can pursue further courses in future as well.
