Yes, admission can be taken based on MAT score. DTE assigns rank based on your MAT score and admission is based on that rank.

50% is the safe line as many core finance job profile demands 55 or 60% and some domain marketing FMCG or market research firm demands 50 percent. It is the bitter truth that you can't have the best colleges or even the good colleges as the entrance test criteria is 50%.
But you can have a better future. Achieve 3 or 4 years of job experience and join the executive MBA from top colleges. But do not try to get colleges through management quota as you can't get a good college this way.

Hello Pratosh,
To be honest, there is no good college which you can get at just 80 percentile in MAT exam. And the ones you might get won't be great colleges. The cut-offs of the top colleges through MAT are generally 95+ percentile. Better you reappear for MAT (or any other exam) and aim for a high score, rather than taking admission in an average college. Good luck.

Top B-Schools consider CAT/ XAT/CMAT score for selecting students. So if a candidate wants to get admission in a good and recognized B-School then he/she should compete in above-mentioned competition exams.
