This section essentially tests the IQ of a student. The questions are general asked from the current happenings. You need to keep yourself updated with current general knowledge books, magazines etc. Read newspapers and watch news channels for latest news. News should be covered from all aspects such as politics, sports, entertainment, awards etc. Awareness is the only key to ace this section in MAT examination. Their are no such specific books.

IIFT has its own separate written examination for admission. Admission is solely based on how you perform in that. No MAT score is required.

aim for 80 above percentile so that you can easily apply for top colleges and it also helps you in admission process. list of top colleges can be seen on siksha.com and ( https://www.nirfindia.org/mgmt ), in this link ranking is given for all colleges not specifically MAT colleges.

Hello dear,Yes there is sectional cut off in mat.If u attained 70 question and 90% of them are correct,then u can expect 90+ percentile.But it differs year by year and no of student sit for the exam.Best of luck!
