For aspirants applying through CAT, the timeline is generally consistent every year. The CAT official notification is usually released around July, followed by the application window opening in August. Registrations remain open until September, after which candidates can download their admit cards in November. The CAT exam is also conducted in November. Results are typically announced in January of the following year. Candidates planning to apply to Adichunchanagiri University must align their MBA application with this schedule and keep their CAT scorecard ready at the time of registration.

The selection process for the MBA programme at Adichunchanagiri University is entrance-based. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in accepted management entrance examinations such as CAT, K-MAT, or PGCET. After filling application form, the university prepares a merit list of eligible applicants. Students in this list are then invited to complete the admission formalities, which may include online document verification and payment of the admission fee. The final selection is confirmed only after the candidate has successfully fulfilled all eligibility and admission requirements as prescribed by the university.

For MBA admission at GIBS, the MAT cutoff is usually around 64 percentile, while the CAT cutoff is about 60 percentile. This means the MAT route is slightly more competitive compared to CAT, but the difference is not huge. Both exams give you almost the same chance of getting shortlisted, as GIBS considers overall performance in entrance exams along with GD and PI rounds. So, you can choose either based on your strengths and comfort with the exam pattern.
