Thanks.

Cannot really comment since the admission in PGDM program greatly depends on your performance in the GD/PI. GD/PI carry more equal weightage in determining whether you will secure the admission. You can go ahead and apply since the last date for application is extended to April 20, 2018. All the best.

In my view MBA-Finance is better option. Any organisation needs more finance specialist. Roles like Credit analyst, Risk Analyst, Finance Consultant, Account Manager, Relationship Manager and similar other roles. Job offers are across various sectors like Banking, IT, Manufacturing, finance-Tech. Though HR also has job roles in these sectors, but the number is higher for Finance roles.

You should first understand what all parameters you are considering for selecting the right b-school.
following parameters can be used to find out which of the two best suits:
Faculty
Package
Recruiters
Summer internships
Extra-curricular activities
Electives offered
Placement statistics (highest, lowest and average CTC offered).
Intake of students
Teaching methodology
According to me, BIMM is a good option for PGDM in finance.
BIMHRD is for HR, I guess.
Whereas, in IBS-Mumbai, there are decent faculty members for finance.

Yes, IMT Nagpur is good for finance specialization. The Finance department has one of the best faculty members who have an experience of about 25 years in industry and have passed professional qualifications like CA FRM etc. Also, there are companies like CRISIL, VERITY, HDFC BANK, ICICI LOMBARD, TATA AIG, KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK and YES BANK, who have visited the campus for final placements offering around INR 7.5 Lacs pa.
