MBA in Finance programs typically provide foundation education in statistics, leadership, economics, strategy and marketing. Whether an MBA finance is good or not depends on individual career goals. If you want to break into a finance related field such as investment banking it is a great option. The college provide good education in both sectors.

Hi Ananya V,
The specific programme will depend on your career goals. This is the era of digitization, if you are interested you can check for programs in data or business analytics, digital marketing, E-commerce, etc. Just keep in mind that since you are currently studying MBA and no work experience it will be a challenge to opt for another Masters. It makes your profile weak.

Hi, decide your research area and search for universities in Canada offering research work and activities in your field. Write to the department supervisor and discuss your research interest, funding options, etc. IELTS or TOEFL must be taken. GRE or GMAT may be required. Ph.D notifications are given separately on university websites, you can follow the rules accordingly.

The finance division or department is involved financial planning, accounting and decision making, whereas the marketing department is involved in developing marketing plans and strategies to deliver messages to target markets about the company's brands, products and services. If you are more of an introvert, critical thinker and passionate about statistics and numbers, then Finance specialization is well suited for you. Whereas, if you are an extrovert and love communicating your thoughts, and are able to persuade people, then you should opt for Marketing specialization.
