The standard MCA programme at AKIMSS is a full‑time, on‑campus course.

For MCA at Kuvempu University, one of the accepted qualifications is a BCA degree (or a B.Sc. / B.A. / B.Com with required maths background). 

The eligibility requirement includes having had “Mathematics/Business Mathematics” either at 10+2 level (or in graduation) for non‑CS B.Sc./B.A./B.Com entrants — but since you have BCA, that part is already satisfied. 

For general (unreserved) category, the required aggregate in graduation is usually 50%. For reserved categories (as per state norms), there is relaxation (e.g. 45%).

CU as a whole (across branches) has very strong placement‑reach: in 2024, about 9,124 students got placed during campus drives. The highest domestic package offered in 2025 was reported as ₹ 54.75 LPA (though this appears to be for BTech students). 

According to sources, the MCA programme — including the Cloud‑Computing & DevOps stream — is among the branches for which IT‑sector placements are claimed. Reported roles include Cloud/DevOps, software engineer, data‑oriented roles, etc. 

CU promotes strong infrastructure and “industry‑integrated curriculum” (labs, electives relevant to modern IT) for MCA, which helps prepare students for cloud/DevOps, AI, data‑science, etc.

You must hold a bachelor's degree (from a recognised university) such as B.Sc, BCA, BIT, or B.E./B.Tech — provided the degree included relevant subjects as required. 

Your bachelor's degree must have included Mathematics (or Statistics / Business‑Mathematics / Computer‑Math equivalent) as one of the subjects (either at graduation or earlier, as per rules). 

You need to have obtained at least 60% aggregate marks in graduation to be eligible. 

You must appear for (and qualify in) the entrance exam: NIMCET (NIT‑MCA Common Entrance Test). Admission to MCA at MNNIT is based on NIMCET merit.

Recent placement data shows MCA students at RVCE have been getting job offers: for 2025–2024 batches, there were offers and placements recorded.

Typical / recent figures: the highest package for MCA placements ~ ₹ 20 LPA, average/median ~ ₹ 8.94–9.5 LPA.

The number of recruiters visiting for MCA is non-trivial (e.g. some years ~ 35 companies) which suggests there are opportunities. 

As per alumni reports on Reddit (or other student forums), some graduates say they got good roles — e.g. one former MCA student said they got placed as Data Analyst and later moved into Data Engineering. 

The college seems to have a fairly strong reputation / brand which may help with placement visibility (especially among larger engineering-/IT- recruiters).
