AIIMS MBBS 2017 eligibility criteria:
The candidates wishing to apply for AIIMS MBBS 2017 exam can find below the various aspects of eligibility conditions and need to ensure that they fulfil the minimum conditions.
AIIMS MBBS eligibility: Nationality
- Candidates must be of Indian origin.
- Candidates who belong to Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) category should be registered under Section 7A of Indian Citizenship Act 1955 and need to submit their registration proof while applying for AIIMS MBBS 2017 entrance exam.
- Candidates belonging to foreign nationals category should be nominated by the Indian Government. They will not be required to appear for AIIMS MBBS entrance examination, however, should have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English studied at intermediate examination or 12th board examination recognised by AIIMS Delhi. Moreover, such candidates should be eligible for pursuing the MBBS programme only at AIIMS New Delhi.
AIIMS MBBS eligibility: Educational qualification
- Candidates should have qualified 12th board or equivalent examination of 10+2 education system recognised by AIIMS Delhi.
- They should have also studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as mandatory subjects in their 10+2 level.
- In addition to the above conditions, candidates belonging to General and OBC categories should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate of aforesaid subjects and those belonging to SC, ST and OPH categories should have obtained at least 50%.
AIIMS MBBS eligibility: Age CriteriaI. Candidates applying for AIIMS MBBS 2017 entrance examination should have completed a minimum of 17 years of age as on December 31, 2017.II. Moreover, those born on or after January 2, 2001 will not be considered eligible to apply for AIIMS MBBS 2017 exam.

In the year 2012, the Central government had planned to conduct national level common entrance exam called National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Medical / Dental courses admissions across the country. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi is the conducting body for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). CBSE will conduct the NEET exam for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical / Dental courses admissions. For Undergraduate it's called NEET UG and for postgraduate it's called NEET PG.
In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS/ MD/MDS/MS and PG Diploma Courses for a particular academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum marks in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test' held for the said academic year besides obtaining minimum prescribed marks at the qualifying examination. All admissions to MBBS/BDS/ MD/MDS/MS and PG Diploma courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.
