The Masters of Public Health at IIPH- Shillong is full time two year programme.
The first three semesters include classroom teaching, tutorials, and practical work.
The final semester includes a six month project and dissertation.
Students are encouraged to take internships during breaks between semester

The Indian Institute of Public Health in Shillong provides support to students in their placements through its placement cell.
The placement cell offers information on available opportunities, conducts workshops, and helps students prepare for interviews. But, at some cost there is no any guarantee that students would surely gets placed but eventually 80% does gets placed .
According to course wise usually all the courses would get equal opportunity and rest is left to students.

The admission fee for the Masters of Public Health programme at IIPH- Shillong is INR 10,000 and the examination fee is INR 10,000. Usually, it would be included in the total fees (exam fees) .
For the 2024-26 academic year, the tuition fee is INR 2,40,000 per year for Indian and South Asian nationals including exam and admission fees.

Admission to IIPH-Shillong needs some documents which must be properly verified and original:
CV
Application form
Resume
Caste certificate
Adhar card
Personal statement
Bank statements
Pan (if available)
Marksheets
Photographs
Students need to submit the application form along with these documents and get verified by University. Once done they can appear for the entrance exam and if they clear the entrance exam they can attend the interview and get admitted.
