The MBA entrance exam scores are valid for admission to MG University’s MBA courses are CAT, CMAT and KMAT. Candidates must have passed any one of these exams in the same academic year. They are not required to appear for MGU CAT and can directly participate in the personal assessment round – GD and PI.

After the MGU CAT exam is conducted and the result is announced, the university conducts a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) which includes PI or GD-PI. CAT qualifying candidates have to participate and clear the GD/PI round for their respective courses to be selected for admission. Thereafter the final merit list is prepared based on candidates’ overall performance.

The minimum marks required to apply for MGU CAT exam varies between 50 to 60 per cent aggregate in graduation. For each course, the minimum score criteria is different.

MBA/PGDM, MSc, LLM, MA (Politics & International Relations/Politics & Human Rights/Public Policy & Governance), the minimum score requirement is 50 percent.

For MA Economics, MA in Malayalam, MA in English, MA (Gandhian Studies/Development Studies), MA (History and Anthropology) and M.Ed, the minimum score requirement is 45 percent.

The application fee of MGU CAT for General and Open All India quota candidates is INR 1,100 and for SC/ST candidates it is INR 550. The fee is to be paid online via debit/credit card or net banking. Candidates must note that fee payment in a mandatory step in form submission process. The MGU CAT form will not be accepted until the fee is paid. Applicants must also note that the fee is non-refundable.

MGU CAT 2025 admit card for all courses was released on June 4, 2025. Candidates will be required to download their admit cards from the exam website. To download the admit card, candidates will have to use the login credentials created at the time of exam registration.

Candidates must note that, hard copy of the MGU CAT admit card will not be sent to any candidate.

MGU CAT 2025 application process has started. Candidates can fill the form from April 25 to June 2, 2025. The MGU CAT application dates were announced by MG University at its website for all courses. The application schedule may be extended and the new deadline will be announced by the university at its website.
