Apply to Miami University through Common Application or Coalition Application. 

Fill out the application form.

Pay the application fee or choose a fee waiver if applying before December 1.

Submit the required documents:

  • Official academic transcripts
  • One letter of recommendation from a school counselor or academic teacher
  • English proficiency test scores
  • SAT/ACT scores (optional)

Portfolio, audition, or video for some majors in the College of Creative Arts (CCA).

Check for an email from Miami with a link to access your personalized Applicant Status Page.

Miami University-Oxford has an acceptance rate of 82%. Half the applicants admitted to Miami University who submitted test scores have an SAT score between 1210 and 1380 or an ACT score of 26 and 31. The acceptance rate vary from 80% to 82%. The college can be considered slightly selective.

Usually, the University of Miami acceptance rate is calculated to be around 19%. In Fall 2023, Miami University received over 48,000 applications from prospective undergraduates and graduates. Out of these, only about 9,000 candidates secured an admission offer from the university.
