You would need to do well in your academics to get into either. At Columbia however, you have better chances of admission. Columbia accepts applications at a rate of 4.3%. Harvard, on the other hand, does so at a rate of 3.6%.

Columbia accepts around 4 applications for every 100 it receives. Its acceptance rate was 4.29% for the Class of 2029. NYU accepts twice the number of applications, at an 8% acceptance rate. You would have to work hard to get into either. However, at NYU you have a better chance.

The tuition cost for undergraduate students is between INR 14L and INR 15L, and for postgraduate students, it is between INR 5L and INR 32L. Columbia University does not set any minimum eligible scores for international students who want to join the MS programs. But, it is needed for the students to make sure to score above 320 on the GRE and over 700 on GMAT for successful admission.
Also, students who scored nicely and performed well academically and were involved in relevant internships may get some sort of relief in standardized test scores.
