MMU Solan Bsc admission to nursing courses i.e., BSc and GNM is made through an Entrance Examination conducted by the MM University while admission to rest of the BSc specialisations is based on marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying examination in Class 12 in the medical stream.

MMU Solan BSc admission to nursing courses (BSc and GNM) is done through an Entrance exam conducted by the MM University. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for admission to these specific specialisations. For admission to the following specialisations, Class 12 marks are considered as admission to rest of the BSc disciplines is based on merit of the qualifying examination with the medical stream:
- BSc Operation Theater Techniques
- BSc Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology
- BSc Medical Laboratory Technology
- BSc Medical Biochemistry
- BSc Medical Microbiology
- BSc Optometry
- BSc Dialysis Technology

Maharishi Markandeshwar University conducts its own entrance examination for admission to the nursing courses which include BSc in Nursing and GNM. Else, admission to all the other specialisations is entirely merit-based on marks secured in Class 12 examination in medical stream.
