Nalanda Open University provides scholarships to the deserving candidates or lower section of the society. The institute offers Other Backward Classes Post-Graduation Scholarship Scheme and the SC and ST Post-Matric Scholarship, among others.

Nalanda University is situated in Rajgir, Bihar. The university was established in 2010 by an Act of the Indian Parliament. The total tuition fee for BSc courses is around 9,600. The University only offers 1 specialization for a B.Sc course which is a B.Sc (Hons.) in statistics. To be eligible for a B.Sc at Nalanda University one must have cleared class 12th by a minimum of 50%. Approximately 35 seats are allotted for the B.Sc course at Nalanda University.

Both the universities are equally good as both are private universities and in the same city. For B.Sc, both universities offer this course and have limited seats. However, as Nalanda University is older than KK University, so equipments are not very up-to-date. KK University is better for practicals because it has acquired new technology. 

Nalanda University only offers a B.Sc in one specialization, conversely, 12 specializations in B.Sc are offered at KK University. 

However, KK University being more expensive than Nalanda University may not provide better placements than Nalanda University. The average package for B.Sc stude

For MBA 

 

  • For Indian students, a minimum score of 70 percentile in CAT or XAT or MAT is required.
  • For international students, a minimum credit score/GPA at Undergraduate level to be 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent GPA or relevant GMAT score
  • For Working Executives=Minimum 5 years of working experience, No Objection Certificate is required from employer for working executives/sponsored candidates/ candidates on sabbatical/candidates recommended by PSUs/GOI Departments., CAT/XAT/MAT score will not be applicable.

The average CAT score can be considered 198 to 180 for the MBA and the 90+ percentile in any of CAT and MAT can be considered good for admission to the top colleges. 

The minimum criteria is 55% or 2.2/4.0 GPA or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) in Under Graduate Degree. Students from any stream i.e. Humanities/Sciences/Engineering/Management/Law etc. can apply for any program, however, students may not apply for more than two programs.
