Since the INI-CET is the main entrance exam for postgraduate and doctorate programs at NIMHANS, you are not eligible to apply if you did not take it. However, NIMHANS normally requires a separate entrance exam administered by the institute itself in order to admit students to B.Sc. degrees like nursing or anaesthesia technology. Candidates are chosen for the B.Sc Nursing programme based on their performance on the NIMHANS admission exam and their fulfilment of the eligibility requirements which include finishing the 12th grade with English, physics, chemistry and biology. Around two admission exams per year are normally held by the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) for many courses, including Diploma UG courses. The entrance tests are typically planned for the academic year 2024 as follows:
- Initial Session: Typically this takes place in April or May during the initial part of the year.
- Session 2: Usually held in October or November of the second half of the year.
The exact dates of the admission tests for 2024 are still pending.
