As your NCHMCT JEE rank is 2,966, you can take part in the counseling. Counseling for the candidates is conducted by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) as per their All India Rank (AIR) in the entrance examination. 

The cutoff for the NCHMCT JEE is different every year based on the difficulty level of the exam, the number of aspirants, and the number of seats available. For the 2024 session, the anticipated cutoff marks for premier Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) are around 600+ for the General category, 500-600 for OBC, 400-500 for SC, and 300-400 for ST categories. With an NCHMCT JEE rank of 5,377, you stand a fair chance of getting admission to a number of well-known IHMs. Although high-profile institutes such as IHM Pusa and IHM Mumbai tend to have higher cutoffs, you could get admission to institutes such as IHM Bhopal, IHM Jaipur, and IHM Gwalior, where last year's closing ranks were approximately 3,481, 2,783, and 5,103, respectively.
