Hello dear, NDA Educational Qualifications - For Army Wing - Pass Certificate in 10+2 exam For Air Force and Naval Wings - Passing Certification of Class 12th exam with Physics and Mathematics. The National Defence Academy NDA is the Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force train together before they go on to respective service academies for further pre-commissioning training. National Defence Academy or NDA is one of the most sought-after defense entrance exams in the country. The exam is conducted for admission to Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). NDA is conducted twice a year in two stages: written exam and SSB Interview. UPSC prepares a list of candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in the written exam. Such candidates are called for SSB Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test. NDA has 2 section MAT of 120Q with 300 marks and GAT of 150 Q with 600 marks. There is also a negative marking for every wrong question. This requires deep and complete knowledge of the syllabus. What is the procedure and list of exams we have to clear under DGCA to become a pilot? (Currently engineering student)
What are the process to become a pilot? As you didn't described that whether you want to become an airline pilot or fighter pilot. So I am going to give the process for both fields pilot.
1. Fighter Pilot:
You can join Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot through four ways. NDA (National Defense Academy):
One can join NDA after completing +2 with Physics and Maths compulsory. The written exam consist of two papers and (I. e. Maths and General Awareness) is tough as it is conducted by UPSC and is of 900 marks (300+600 respectively) followed by SSB (Service Selection Board) a five day interview process and medicals. This entry is only applicable for unmarried male applicants. Through this entry, you will get permanent commission. National Defense Academy of India is considered as one of the best tri- service academy throughout the world.
2. CDS Examination:
This exam also is conducted by UPSC for those who are in final year or completed their final year of graduation from a recognised university and Maths and Physics passed in +2. To get a seat in AFA (Air Force Academy), one have to appear in CDS examination which consists of 3 parts I. e. elementary mathematics, English and General awareness wirh each section containing 200 marks to sum up for 600 marks, then followed by SSB and medicals. The toughness level of this exam is less than that of NDA. For this exam also, only unmarried male applicants are eligible. Through this entry also, one gets a permanent commission.
3. AFCAT Entry:
This entry opens up for the applicants who completed their graduation from any recognised university or are in final year with Physics and math passed in +2. The toughness level of this paper is comparatively lower than NDA or CDSE as this paper is conducted by Indian Air Force only. This paper is of two hours and contains 100 questions each carrying 3 marks summing up to 300 marks followed by SSB and medicals. Through this entry, you will only get short service commission for 14 years. Both unmarried male and female are eligible for this exam.
4. NCC Special Entry:
NCC Special entry is applicable only for senior air wing 'C' Certificate holder. They are extempted from written exam and directly goes for SSB and medicals afterwards.

National Defence Academy eligibility is specified by UPSC in the official notification. The male and female eligibility criteria include factors such as nationality, NDA age limit, NDA qualification, NDA physical test and medical standards. The age criteria for NDA exam is between 16.5 and 19.5 years. Candidates who have passed and are appearing in Class 12 can apply for the NDA exam
