The NEET MDS 2025 cutoff was released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on May 15, 2025, along with the result. However, the cutoff has been reduced by 19.863 percentiles for each category.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the exam conducting body reduced the NEET MDS 2023 cutoff as per the advisory by the Ministry of Health and Family Welface (MOHFW). Announcing the reduction in the NEET MDS cutoff 2023, NBE had stated, "In accordance with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India letter No. V. 12025/14/2023-DE dated 21st September 2023, the minimum qualifying percentiles have been lowered [in pursuance of the 2nd Proviso in clause 7 (1) of DCI’s Master of Dental Surgery Course (1st Amendment) Regulations, 2018] for NEET-MDS 2023."However, there was no change in the ra

The NEET MDS 2025 cutoff percentile for OBC candidates was originally 40, which has now been reduced to 20.137 and the cutoff score is 168 out of 960. The Ministry of Health has announced the reduction of the cutoff percentile by 19.863 percentile. The NEET MDS 2025 cutoff was released by NBE on May 15, along with the result, which was revised on August 14, 2025. Only those candidates from the OBC category, who have secured this score out of 960, will be eligible to participate in the NEET MDS 2024 counselling process.

The NEET MDS 2023 cutoff was reduced for each category by 31.807 percentile. Based on that, the NEET MDS 2023 cutoff for General, reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, PWD) and UR-PWD categories are 168, 125 and 149 respectively. As far as the percentiles are concerned, these are 18.193, 8.193 and 13.193, respectively.

Yes. NEET MDS 2023 cutoff was revised by the Ministry of Health. The cutoff was reduced by 31.807 for each category. NBE had released the revised NEET MDS 2023 cutoff on September 21, 2023. For the newly qualified candidates, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducted additional rounds of counselling.

The cutoff of NEET MDS determines the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score to clear the examination and participate in the counselling process. A candidate who scores less than the NEET MDS cutoff is not eligible to attend the counselling.

NBE or the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the NEET MDS exam conducting authority, releases the cutoff scores or the qualifying scores along with the result. The NEET MDS 2025 result was released on May 15, 2025. The NEET MDS 2025 cutoff was also released on the same date. However, on August 14, 2025, NBE released a notice stating the reduction of the NEET MDS 2025 cutoff percentile by 19.863 percentile for all categories, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare recommendation.
