The NEET MDS cut off is the qualifying marks that a candidate needs to clear the exam and participate further in the counselling process. Candidates who fail to get the cutoff marks do not get into the merit list and are also ineligible for the NEET MDS counselling.

NBE or the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the NEET MDS exam conducting authority, releases the cutoff scores or the qualifying scores along with the result. The NEET MDS 2025 result was released on May 15, 2025. The NEET MDS 2025 cutoff was also released on the same date. However, on August 14, 2025, NBE released a notice stating the reduction of the NEET MDS 2025 cutoff percentile by 19.863 percentile for all categories, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare recommendation.

There is a possibility. The cut off is reduced if seats remain vacant for allotment. Last year also cut off was reduced for each category after students demanded so as many of seats were vacant. The cut off was reduced for each category. For general category, cut off was reduced from 263 to 174. Candidates have to score the minimum cut off to qualify for the exam. The cut off was released along with NEET MS 2023 result on March 10.
