No, you cannot participate in any counselling process if you do not qualify for the NEET 2025 cutoff criteria.  Candidates from the General category should get the NEET cutoff marks to be eligible for the NEET AYUSH counselling. To participate in the counselling of AYUSH UG course, a candidate has to meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • He/she must have qualified NEET 2025
  • He/she must be at least 17 years old as on December 21, 2025
  • He/she must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core subjects

The qualifying NEET 2025 cutoff marks for General category candidates is 144. Last year it was 162. As expected, the NEET 2025 cutoff for General category candidates is lower than last year. The reason is, the difficulty level of NEET was tougher this year as compared to last year. The competition level has become even higher, along with the increase in the number of seats.
