Nehru Arts and Science College follows the seat reservation policy framed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The college has reserved a total of 19% of the seats for admission of SC/ST category students to its BCom courses. The seat reservation breakdown for the SC/ST category is as follows:
- 15% seats are reserved for the Scheduled Castes (SC) category
- 3% of the seats have been reserved for the SCA category.
- 1% seats have been reserved for the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category

Nehru Arts and Science College reserve 19% of the total seats for SC/ST/SCA candidates seeking admission to its BCom courses. Out of this quota of 19%, 5 out of every 100 seats shall be reserved for Differently abled persons belonging to SC and ST category.

Nehru Arts and Science College makes the selection of students for BCom course based on merit. In order to get an admission in the above mentioned course, the students first must apply via the official website of the college. The admission committee then produces a rank list based on the Class 12 merit of the applicants. The committee then shortlists students based on the rank list. These shortlisted students are then called for a One-on-One interview/meeting round with the HOD/Principal/Dean of the college. Later, admit cards are issued to selected students.

Nehru Arts and Science College admission to students in its BCom courses are made based on the merit in Class 12. In order to be eligible, a candidate must have passed Class 12 and obtained an HSC certificate is eligible to apply. The admission committee of NASC also prescribes upper age limit for admissions, which is 21 years as of July 1, 2024. However, the college provides relaxation on this limit in case of excellent meritorious students. NASC also offers upto five years of age relaxation for physically challenged applicants.
Note: In special cases, students must confirm their eligibility status with the college before applying.
