Applicants must have a goal with SAT score around 1500 or ACT scores around 33+. Target a GPA of 3.69 or higher. If GPA is lower, applicants might have to compensate with a higher SAT / ACT score. Though NYU chooses to be test optional during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, because not a lot of international students could take these standardised tests. Hence, if students are willing, they can submit their ACT or SAT scores in their admission applications to New York University. Documents required for getting into NYU.

The following are the requirements for an MS at NYU: 

  • LOR: Some MS programs ask for a LOR, with particular exceptions. However, NYU strictly doesn't accept Duplicate letters.
  • Transcripts and degrees: the applicant must provide the university with transcripts of their academics with degree certificates. Similarly, applying for PhD or doctoral program may require a master's degree and transcripts from all graduate institutions of the ant.
