NYU does require English language proficiency for International applicants. While NYU accepts IELTS, they also accept other English language proficiency tests. In addition to IELTS, NYU accepts other English proficiency test such as Duolingo, CAE ( Cambridge English exams), TOFEL and many more. The following table gives more details with the minimum score required from the tests;
