The National Institute of Design (NID) 2025 application forms are already available. Applications for the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) must be submitted by December 3, 2024, with the last day to do so being September 3, 2024. There will be a correction opportunity from December 4 to December 9, 2024, if you need to make changes to your application. The application edit window for NID DAT 2026 is expected to open in the first week of December 2025 for UG and PG programmes.
Using the application edit window, the candidate will be able to edit details like their address, applied category, exam centre, etc.
However, the candidate can't change the Programme Applied for, Name of the Candidate, Date of Birth, Registered Mobile Number, and Registered Email ID.
Also, if the candidate changes their applied category, the applicable application fees have to be paid by the candidate. Further, no refund of fees will be made in case of any category change.

The application form for NID DAT 2025 will open tentatively in September 2024. The application will open online at the NID admission portal. The direct link to fill out the form will be provided on this page. To fill out the NID that 2025 application form, click on the application link. A registration form will open; get registered by entering your email id and mobile number. Then fill in all their details, upload documents, pay the application fee and submit the form. The NIDs offer a full-time B.Des programme of 4-year duration, and a full-time M.Des programme of two-and-half years duration.
The institute, in addition, also offers a PhD program. The programme can be pursed full-time or part-time.
Admission to the design courses at the NID is conducted through a Design Aptitude Test (DAT). The exam comprise DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.
The final result or merit list is prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

No, NID application fee once paid is not refunded under any circumstances. So, before filling out the form, the candidate must be sure whether they want to appear in the exam or not. The National Institute of Design (NID) will also release a admission handbook for the B.Des and M.Des program.
The admission handbook will contain key details pertaining to eligibility criteria, application process, fee, eligibility criteria, reservation, seat matrix, and much more.
So, it is recommended that the candidate carefully goes through the NID DAT 2025 admission handbook before filling out the application form.

It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to provide correct and verifiable information during the application process. If the candidate is found to be using incorrect or couterfeir information, his or her candidature could be cancelled at any stage of the admission process. Further, if the candidate tries to influence, either directly or indirectly, to influence the management or employees, then also the candidate could be disqualfiied.
Note that the NID DAT 2024 counseling will have a document verification process. During this stage, all the information and documents furnished by the candidate will be cross-checked.
