The National Institute of Design will conduct the DAT Mains exam separately for the B. Des and M.Des programs.
The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des programme will be conducted in April 2025 (tentative). Meanwhile, DAT Mains for the M.Des programme will be held from March onward.
The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des programme comprises a Studio Test that will be conducted in a center-based mode. Meanwhile, the DAT Mains for the M.Des programme comprises a Studio Test and Interview.
The final results of NID DAT 2025 will be declared by considering the performance of the candidate in the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

The NID DAT Mains 2024 exam for the B. Des programme will be conducted in the following cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Kolkata & Kurukshetra. The candidate will be given the option to select the exam city around April 2024. The details of the exam centre, including name and address and reporting time will be mentioned in the NID DAT 2024 admit card. The NID DAT 2024 (Prelims) exam will be conducted in 22 cities across India. The candidate has to select their choice of exam centre at the time of filling out the NID DAT 2024 application form. The candidate will be given the option to select NID DAT 2024 exam centres for the DAT Mains exam sometime in April 2024. The test centres will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. In the case of candidates who fail to select test cities, the system automatically allocat test cities based on the availability of seats in respective test centres. The application edit window for NID DAT 2024 will open soon after the application form closes. Using the application edit window, the candidate will be able to edit details like their address, applied category, exam centre, etc. However, the candidate can't change the Programme Applied in, Name of the Candidate, Date of Birth, Registered Mobile Number, and Registered Email ID. Also, if the candidate changes their applied category, the applicable application fees have to be paid by the candidate. Further, no refund of fees will be made in case of any category change.

The application form for NID (National Institute of Design) for the year 2024 is open. You can fill out the form online at admissions.nid.edu. This form is for applying to the BDes and MDes courses offered by colleges that are part of NID.
You can choose to fill out the form with regular fees or with late fees. If you choose the regular fees option, the form can be filled out until approximately the third week of December 2023.
If you choose the late fees option, the form can be filled out until approximately the fourth week of December 2023.

The candidate will be provisionally allowed to appear for NID DAT Prelims, if shortlisted, based on the information given by the candidate in the application form. Note that it is the sole responsibility of the candidate to provide/upload valid information and certificates at the time of submitting the application form. The details entered by the candidate will be verified during NID counseling. On verification, if the information given by the candidate is found to be incorrect or invalid, the candidate can be disqualified. Further, the decision of NID will be final and binding in this case.

No, the date of birth cannot be changed in the NID application correction window. The candidate will also not be able to edit their name, the programme applied for admission, registered email id, and phone number, in the application form. Note that these details are entered by the candidate at the time of registering for the NID DAT exam.
