The National Institute of Design (NID) will release the provisional offer letter for B.Des candidates for Round I around the 2nd week of June 2025. Prior to that the institute will announce seat allotment results for Round I around the last week of May 2025.
The candidate will have to download the offer letter online from the NID admission portal. The offer letter has to be produced by the candidate when reporting for admission.
Note that the offer letter will only be issued if the candidate has duly paid the seat-acceptance fee and uploaded the relevant documents.

There is no negative marking in NID DAT 2025 exam. The candidate is recommended to go through the detailed exam pattern to get insights into the question paper structure, including types of questions asked, sections, etc. The DAT Prelims exam for the B. Des programme has two parts. Part I will include 22 objective-type questions, whereas Part II will include 4 subjective-type questions. Objective-type questions carry 1-2 marks, while subjective-type questions carry 15-20 marks. The total marks for the NID DAT Prelims will be 100 marks.

There are currently 425 seats available for the B. Des programme. Candidates who qualify in NID DAT 2023 exam need will have to participate in NID that 2023 counseling process. The NID DAT exam analysis will cover the following points:
- Sectional difficulty - The difficulty level will be evaluated on a scale of easy, moderate, and difficult.
- Overall difficulty - The overall difficulty will be calculated by considering the sectional difficulty. The previous years difficulty level will also taken into context.
- The weightage of questions - The part of the analysis will examine the distribution of questions (or weightage) across various topics.
- Good attempts - This will be an indication of how many questions you need to attempt to be in contention for a seat.

Total seats offered in B. Des courses at all the NID campuses is 425 seats. For M.Des course, NID seats on offer for admission are 347. The B. Des programme is offered at five institutes - NID Ahmedabad, NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Madhya Pradesh, and NID Assam. The various faculty members under which the programme is available include Faculty of Communication Design, Faculty of Industrial Design, and Faculty of Textile, Apparel, Lifestyle, and Accessory Design. The recheck window for DAT Mains results will be open soon from May 21 (4 pm) to May 22 (4 pm), 2024.
Note that the results of DAT Mains will be announced on May 21, 2024. Candidates who have any objections against the DAT Mains results can submit request requests through the admission portal of NID - admissions.nid.edu. To submit their requests, the candidate will have to log-in to the portal using their candidate log-in credentials.
