Dear,
If you are looking for further education abroad then, many good universities abroad don't consider NIOS board for admission. In India, you can pursue without any doubt because major universities do accept the NIOS board for admissions.
All the best.

NIOS is a central board under the ministry of HRD government of India. It has the same value as any state board or a central board. Your job depends on your engineering knowledge, college, communication skills, personality and performance during the interview. Doing senior secondary from NIOS does not affect it.

Yes, you can apply for colleges in Canada and Australia after completing 12th from open school. Just that your results will be scrutinised more and you might be asked to submit mark-sheet evaluation by authorised third party.

Hi Ankit,
NIOS has same importance as CBSE but full time education has little higher value in India in terms of higher education and jobs.

Hi Ajay,
In spite of distance education, NIOS also provides regular courses at the stage of secondary and senior secondary levels.

In case you are unable to get admission for formal studies in regular colleges, education by distance learning is a very good option. You must seek admission in NIOS or IGNOU.
