NIT Jalandhar - Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Eligibility

For admission to its BTech programme, Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar accepts the JEE Main scores, followed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. Candidates can appear in JEE Main six times only in three consecutive years. JEE Main application can be made only after passing the class 12/ qualifying examination.

For admission to its M.Tech programme, NIT Jalandhar accepts the GATE scores. The institute accepts Joint Admission Test (IIT JAM) scores for admission to its MSc programme. Furthermore, the National Institute of Technology accepts national-level and state-level entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, and CMAT for admission to its MBA programme. After qualifying for the respective entrance exams, interested candidates must apply for the relevant counselling sessions, such as JoSAA and CCMT, to gain admission to various courses offered by the institute.

Applicants willing to enrol in the BTech programme at the NIT Jamshedpur must have completed class 12 with a minimum score of 75% in Physics and Mathematics, with Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology being elective subjects (for ST/SC 65% is required). In addition to meeting the minimal qualifying standards, candidates must present official JEE Main results. 

At PG level, NIT Jalandhar offers a two year M.Tech course. To be eligible for admission to this course, candidates must pass graduation with minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA with BE/BTech subject from a recognised university. After meeting the basic educational requirements for the course, candidates will be able to appear for GATE and further admission process.

NIT Jalandhar offers a two-year full-time MBA course in the field of Humanities and Management. Admission to the MBA programme at NIT Jalandhar is done basis of CAT/MAT/CMAT score followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST/PwD) to be able to apply for the MBA course.
