NIT Jalandhar admits students on the basis of merit in both UG and PG programmes. The merit lists are notified in reference to JEE main scores and GATE score for UG and PG resoectively. Students cannot get direct admission into the college. They must clear JEE main/GATE exam in accordance with the selection criteria of their preferred course. applicants must also register and attend the JoSAA/CCMT counselling process before seat allocation by the institution.

NIT Jalandhar cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to the BTech course, based on JEE Main scores. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India and Home State quotas. Among the General All India quota, the closing ranks varied between 10232 and 50828. Therefore, candidates belonging to the General AI quota must have a rank of 50828 or below.
For candidates belonging to the OBC AI category candidates, the closing ranks varied between 3751 and 15164. Therefore, it is possible to get admission to the college for the OBC AI category, if the candidate has attained a rank of 15164 or lesser.

Yes, you can get admission to NIT Jalandhar if you belong to the General AI category. For this category, the round 1 count ranged from 12693 to 58726. Hence, getting admission with this rank is possible in a few branches.
But admission to the core branches, like CSE, ECE, and Civil Engineering, would not be possible. See the table below to know the available courses.
