The eligibility criteria for NIT Nagaland is getting atleast 75% in class 12 ( 65% for SC/ST/PwD) and cracking JEE mains. For scoring a good rank in JEE Main a candidate must:

  1. Segregate topics and work diligently and complete them in time.
  2. Prioritise high weightage topics
  3. Prepare proper notes and end time revision techniques
  4. Practice is the key
  5. Take mock tests because ghere is negative marking in the exam.

NIT Agartala is much developed than Nagaland. So you should prefer NIT Agartala although you're getting a lower branch. But if you're interested in studying CIVIL engineering only then go for Nagaland, College doesn't matter much.

It's undoubtedly NIT Agartala. NIT Agartala in every aspect is very ahead compared to any North Eastern NIT and has a permanent infrastructure with high-class hostel facilities that many NITs lack. Unlike other Northeastern NITs, NIT Agartala is excelling in the field of engineering since 1965 and is one of the oldest NITs of India. It is very well connected to Kolkata on an hourly flight basis, at a very affordable price.
