No, NMIMS Hyderabad does not allow direct admissions to its BTech programme. The admission to all the NMIMS campuses (including Hyderabad) are conducted through a common process. As BTech admission at the institute are entrance-based, candidates must register and appear for the accepted entrance exams. The institute conducts NMIMS-CET to admit students into the BTech/BPharma programme. Foreign candidates who have a valid SAT/ACT exam scores and fulfil the eligibility criteria can also apply for the course.

If a student chooses to withdraw from BTech programme at NMIMS Hyderabad after the seat allocation, the institution refunds the fee based on the following criteria:
- 100% of the fee amount will be refunded if the candidate withdraws 15 days or more before the formally-notified last date of admission, after a 5% deduction towards the processing fee
- 90% of the fee will be refunded if the candidate withdraws less than 15 days before the formally-notified last date of admission
- 15 days or less after the formally-notified last date of admission.
