The syllabus of NTSE for 8th standard students of Haryana comprises:

Mental Ability Test (MAT): Logical Reasoning, Pattern Recognition, Classification, Analogy, Series, etc.
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT):
Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (formatting National curriculum document for classes 7-8).
Mathematics: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Statistics (upto class 8).
Social Science: History, Geography, Civics and Economics (syllabus for classes 7 and 8).

They can download the form directly from the website of State Council of Educational Research and Training or Directorate of Education depending upon the state they belong to. The form may be downloaded from the internet or can be obtained from the school since the school must be registered with SCERT for NTSE. Those which are required to be filled and completed should be handed over to the respective school as per directions or the office of SCERT along with relevant enclosures and as per prescribed fees if any. No, The NTSE 2024-25 exam is not cancelled. The exam is scheduled 

For Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Andaman & Nicobar: Exam date is 4th November 2024 ( Tentative )

For other states and union territories: Date is 5th November 2024 (Tentative)

For Stage 2 - Dates will be announced later.

The NTSE 2023 Stage 1 exam is likely to be held on November 4 and 5, 2023 in pen and paper mode. The NTSE was not held in the year 2022, marking the first such omission in its 60-year history. NCERT plans to conduct NTSE 2023 and may accommodate students who missed the opportunity last year to earn the scholarship
