There are a total of 62 seats in the PGIMER BSc nursing (Hons.) programme. General category candidates have 22 seats, SC category candidates have 07 seats, ST category candidates have 04 seats, OBC category candidates have 14 seats, and PwBD category candidates have 03 seats in all. Candidates having Color blindness are eligible provided that their color blindness can be corrected with contact lens and spectacles worn by such candidates. So, the number of seats mentioned for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) will be adjusted against the category to which he / she belongs.

As per the guidelines issued by the exam conducting body, students must not be more than 25 years of age and should not be less than 17 years on 1st September, 2026. Hence, applicants born after 01.09.2008 and before 01.09.2000 are not eligible to apply for the course. For the BSc Nursing course (4 years), only FEMALE students are eligible to apply within this age bracket.

There are a total of 93 seats in the PGIMER BSc nursing (Hons.) programme. General category candidates have 47 seats, SC category candidates have 14 seats, ST category candidates have 07 seats, OBC category candidates have 25 seats, and PwBD category candidates have 5 seats in all. It is a 4 year course. Please note that reservation to PwBD candidates is given on horizontal basis and as per Govt. of India guidelines revised from time to time. So, the number of seats mentioned for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) will be adjusted against the category to which he / she belongs.

Only FEMALE candidates who have cleared class 12 exams or equivalent exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects and have secured a minimum of 55 per cent marks in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 per cent in aggregate. The detailed eligibility criteria is provided in the programme prospectus released by the exam conducting authorities.

Yes, it is mandatory for the applicants to appear separately for the PGIMER BSc Nursing exam because NEET-UG score will not be aceepted by PGIMER, Chandigarh for the BSc nursing programme. PGIMER BSc Nursing exam is a gateway for admission into BSc nursing course and the candidates should have passed class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects. A separate counselling will be conducted by PGIMER for grating admission to candidates on the basis of the merit scored in the entrance exam.

PGIMER BSc Nursing 2026 entrance exams will be organized and conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, for admissions in BSc Nursing programmes like BSc (Hons.) Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing. It is an online (Computer-Based Test) which will be conducted for a duration of 90 minutes/1.5 hours. There will be 100 multiple-choice questions in the exam, of 1 mark.

Self-attested copy of candidate's photograph, signature, passing certificates of the qualifying exam, mark sheet of the qualifying exam, proof of age certificate, category certificate (if any). Candidate are not required to send any documents to the Controller of Examination Office. Only the scanned copies of Signatures/ Handwriting Verification form are to be uploaded during the process of online submission of application form.

KGMU BSc Nursing entrance exam has been scrapped for admission to nursing programme. For admission to KGMU Lucknow, candidates will have to appear for UP CNET entrance exam. The state-level nursing entrance will facilitates admission into four year BSc nursing course which is conducted by King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow. It is on offline exam which is held for a duration of 120 minutes.

KGMU offers 380 seats in the BSc Nursing programme across seven colleges in Lucknow and the admission is done on the basis of merit in the entrance exam conducted by the KGMU. Aspirants seeking admission must ensure himself/herself about his/her eligibility before filling of the application form. The selection of candidate will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board appointed by the University.
