Admission Process
Entrance/Selection test Selection of candidates should be based on the marit of the (PPMET) entrance examination held by University or competent authority.
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the corresponding year of admission.
The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12-year course), Or
Senior Secondary school certificate Examination (10+2), Pre-degree Examination (10+2) Or
An equivalent qualification with 12years schooling from a recognized board or university with Science (Physics, chemistry, biology) and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE)
The candidate shall be Medically Fit.

Hi. admission is done on a merit-based. The college offers various undergraduate and post-graduate programs in several disciplines of nursing. The courses that are currently being offered at the UG level include Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. ) in Nursing and Post Basic Bachelor of Science (PB B.Sc. ) in Nursing. At the PG level, KMCH College of Nursing offers a Master of Science (M.Sc. ) programme in Nursing with various specializations. Additionally, it offers two Post-Basic Diploma programs with specializations in Critical Nursing and Emergency & Disaster Nursing and a Ph.D. programme in Medical-Surgical Nursing. Admission to all the courses is done based on merit in the qualifying examination. For B.Sc. , candidate must pass HSC with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 45% marks. Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age as of 31 December of the admission year. For M.Sc, the candidate must pass B.Sc. degree with a minimum of 55% marks. For PB B.Sc. Nursing, candidate must pass Diploma in Nursing from a recognized school of nursing. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category should secure not less than 40% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible. For Post Basic Diploma, the candidate must pass Diploma/Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution with one year of clinical experience. It is mandatory for PB B.Sc. Nursing candidates to have registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai before filling out the application form for KMCH College. Candidates for all other courses except B.Sc. Nursing should furnish Council Registration Certificate obtained from the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council and Work Experience Certificate from their previous employer. NRI candidates should submit their original passport and visa and must provide evidence for payment of US Dollar 1000 to the college against Development Charges. Reservation is provided to Indian candidates as per norms set by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University.
