Before applying for admission to any affiliated institution, candidates who have passed the BPT examinations from somewhere other than "The Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University" - except Annamalai University - must obtain an eligibility certificate from this university by sending the required fees with their application.

To be eligible for the BPT course at MGM School of Physiotherapy a candidate must have passed class 12th with a minimum of 50% in PCB from a government-recognised board.
