The Government of India's Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) established PEC in 1984 as a public institution to meet the engineering needs of the Union Territory of Puducherry.

Admission to the BTech and MTech courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in various entrance exams such as JEE Main, GATE etc. Admission to other courses is done directly based on the scores obtained in the previous qualifications.

For MTech, just a heads-up that the GATE 2025 registration is now closed. As for BTech, BArch, and BPlan, even though the registration for the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 has wrapped up, you can look forward to the exam happening from January 22 to January 31, 2025. Good luck!
