To get admission in B.Tech at Pratap University, a student must have a 10+2 education in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 50% marks for General Quota students and 45% marks for reserved quota students. In addition, candidates are required to sit for JEE Main exam; if they have not given JEE Main, they have to sit for Pratap University Entrance Examination. Pratap University accepts various examinations like JEE etc. The Eligibility criteria includes at least 50 percent marks (45 Percent marks in ST/SC) . 

The minimum cutoff score for B.Tech in general category is approximately 98 percent and the same for reserved categories is 95 percent.
