Students who intend to do majors in Molecular Engineering should have mastered the content in the prerequisite STEM courses. These STEM courses that must be a part of a student's background are:
General chemistry
General physics
Biology fundamentals
Mathematics sequence
There is a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher (with no grade lower than C-) required to complete a SB degree (BSc) in Molecular Engineering, as well as minimum grade requirements for all courses required in the major. The Institute for Molecular Engineering in 2011 was elevated to the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering in 2019. But even after becoming a whole school of Engineering, Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering is still a part of University of Chicago. The application process for all the streams is common under the University of Chicago. Hence, there is no separate application form for the Molecular Engineering major.
The application fee for all the undergraduate courses is USD 75 (INR 6.56K) while the application fee for all the postgraduate courses is USD 90 (INR 7.88K).
