If you don't score above the cutoff in PULAT, you will have to follow one of the steps mentioned below:

1. Participate in Subsequent Counseling Rounds:

• If seats remain vacant after the initial allotment, subsequent rounds of counseling are conducted. Cutoffs may lower in these rounds, providing a chance to secure a seat.
• Stay updated on the official website for counseling schedules and participate in all rounds for which you are eligible.

2. Explore Colleges:

• Consider applying to top law colleges, or 
• Research colleges with good reputations and courses that align with your interests.

3. Retake the Exam in the Next Year:

• If you're determined to get into a specific college or course, prepare thoroughly and retake the PULAT exam in the following year.
• Analyze your previous performance, identify areas for improvement, and dedicate time to focused preparation.

The selection process of criteria for PULAT has been described below:

1. Candidates are required to appear for the Presidency University evaluation test in addition to standard eligibility criteria:

• This means that to be considered for admission to Presidency University, prospective students must meet certain standard eligibility criteria, such as academic qualifications or age requirements. In addition to these criteria, they are also obligated to take a specific evaluation test designed or administered by the university. This test is an additional step in the admission process and may assess various aspects of a candidate's suitability for the program.

2. Candidates are also required to appear for the Personal Interview process:

• In addition to academic qualifications and evaluation tests, candidates are further required to participate in a Personal Interview as part of the admission process. During this interview, candidates may be evaluated on their communication skills, motivation, personality traits, and their alignment with the university's values and objectives. It is an opportunity for the university to assess the candidate beyond their academic achievements.

3. Admissions team also considers scholastic and extra-curricular records:

• The admissions team, responsible for evaluating and selecting candidates for admission, takes into account not only a candidate's academic records but also their extra-curricular achievements and activities. This means that a student's performance in academic subjects, as well as their participation in sports, arts, community service, or any other non-academic activities, will be considered during the admission process. This holistic approach helps the university in selecting candidates who not only excel academically but also contribute to the overall diversity and vibrancy of the student body.

The following documents are required to fill out the PULAT appplication form: 

• Standard X Mark Sheet: The Standard X Mark Sheet is a record of a student's academic performance in the 10th grade, typically including grades and marks achieved in various subjects.
• Standard XII Mark Sheet: The Standard XII Mark Sheet is a document that reflects a student's academic performance in the 12th grade or equivalent, showing the grades and marks obtained in different subjects.
• Transfer Certificate: A Transfer Certificate is a formal document issued by a school or educational institution that certifies a student's withdrawal from that institution and may include details about the student's conduct and academic record.
• Migration Certificate (For Non-Karnataka students): A Migration Certificate is typically required by students moving from one state or educational board to another, and it verifies the transfer of a student's academic records and status.
• Entrance Exam Score Card: An Entrance Exam Score Card is a document showing a student's performance in a specific entrance examination, often used for admission to colleges, universities, or specialised programs.
• Passport Size Photographs (5 photos): Passport size photographs are small photos of a standard size typically used for official documents like application forms, ID cards, and visas. In this context, it refers to the requirement of providing five such photographs.
