RBI Assistant Exam

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the RBI Assistant 2023 Notification on November 15, 2023, for the recruitment of eligible candidates for the post of Assistant in various branches across India. The selection process consists of a Preliminary Examination, a Main Examination, and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The RBI Assistant 2023 Mains Exam is scheduled for December 31, 2023.Eligibility criteria for the RBI Assistant 2023 recruitment include:

• A bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks in the aggregate final result
• Knowledge of computers and proficiency in languages for particular states
• There is no need for a minimum of 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD categories (only pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates)

RBI Assistant prelims syllabus comprises topics and sub-topics from Reasoning, Numerical Ability and English Language. RBI Assistant Mains syllabus includes five sections that are Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Language, and Computer Knowledge. The following are the important topics for RBI Assistant exam:

English Language: Reading Comprehension, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Correction, Word Meanings, etc.

General Awareness: Current Affairs, Banking Awareness, Policies Related to RBI, Monetary Policies,  Fiscal Policies, Government Schemes, etc.

Quantitative Aptitude: Percentage,  Time and Distance, Time and Work,  Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Average, Profit & Loss,  Data Interpretation, etc.

Reasoning: Number Series, Blood Relation, Puzzles,  Seating Arrangement, Coding and Decoding, etc.

Computer Language: Languages, Basic Hardware and Software, History of Computers and Devices.

• One way to determine how much time you should be allocating to each section during exam is mock tests
• It’s a good idea to start answering the topics you are confident about and is less time-consuming. Finish answering these questions in less time as possible
• Aim to clear the section cutoffs, while at the same time increase your overall score
• While it is important to answer quickly, it is equally important to answer accurately
• For effective time management during the exam, set a timer during your practice sessions. This will help you to determine which topics are taking more time. Practice a sufficient number of questions from your weaker section

• RBI Assistant handwritten declaration should be written in their own handwriting
• RBI Assistant handwritten declaration should be written in English only
• The handwritten declaration should be written on white paper with black ink
• Candidates need to keep in mind that the RBI Assistant handwritten declaration should not be written in capital letters
• The application of RBI Assistant will be rejected if the handwritten declaration is written by someone else
• Scan the handwritten declaration form and upload it to your laptop or mobile
• RBI Assistant handwritten declaration should be in JPEG or JPG format
• The size of the image must be between 50KB to 100KB

RBI Assistant application process comprises several stages such as registration, uploading the scanned photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form, uploading left thumb impression and handwritten declaration, previewing the application form and fee payment. Candidates are required to complete all the steps given in the application form. Any discrepancies may lead to the rejection in the application form. Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of the application form.
